Making calls

  • Ensure you are calling the correct office (solicitors often have more than one location), make sure you have the correct name of the person you wish to talk to (first and last name) and, importantly, exactly who you are – ie. which barrister you are making the call for!
  • When leaving messages for solicitors- use the same concept as in Counsel’s voicemail, make sure they clearly can hear who you are, the date/time, what you want and what number they can get you back on. Don’t race through the message, especially the ‘phone number, or you will annoy someone by requiring them replay the message to note the details/number.
